Ride To Awareness Founder Allen Giese and Development Director Sue Reddy Silverman

March 22, 2015

Today on the Social Scene with JZ from Florida we have the inspiring founder of Ride To Awareness, Allen Giese and his Development Director Sue Reddy Silverman .

"Did you know that 1 in 4 adults suffer from mental illness?"  That is 61.5 Million a YEAR. On September 15, 2015 Allen Giese and 9 other Cyclists will be riding 3,000 miles from San Diego, California to St. Augustine, Florida to raise money and bring awareness to mental illness.

Back in 2011, Giese cycled 3,000 miles from Florida all the way up to Maine ! As you can see Giese has always had  a passion for long distance bike riding.

Although the first time was hard he thrived on doing it again . Allen founded Ride to Awareness because he knew there was something important he could do with a long distance bike ride. Giese started this non profit organization to help more people like his his son who constantly suffer from mental illness. He wants to bring more awareness to as many people as possible while raising money at the same time.

You ever wonder how to prepare for a long distance bike ride? Do you know anyone who suffers from mental illness and want to get them some help? TUNE in to our podcast to GET INSPIRED and learn more about Ride To Awareness.
